As Chairman of AlBirr Credit Union Limited, I bring a multidimensional career shaped by law, finance, housing and community leadership. My journey began in 1985 and 1987 when I captained the Union Bank Hockey Club of Nigeria to victory at the JFK World Club Hockey Tournament in Washington DC, a formative experience that instilled resilience, strategic focus and team spirit. I bring over 28 years of experience across the legal, financial, and housing sectors. With a law degree as my foundation, I worked as a senior group risk administrator and manager within the financial industry before transitioning into the housing sector where I’ve served as an Income Manager for leading housing associations for the past two decades which includes L&Q, Genesis, Origin, Swan and now at Islington and Shoreditch. This unique cross-sector journey has shaped a leadership style grounded in integrity, accountability and deep empathy for the communities we serve. At AlBirr, I am dedicated to advancing ethical financial solutions that reflect our values and empower families to thrive with dignity. My vision is to continue building a resilient institution guided by trust, transparency, deep commitment to inclusion, fairness, and economic empowerment.
